History

Allegiant FS (Financial Services) was established by McCullough Robertson to initially provide the legal firm’s clients with the very best financing advice and solutions.

Peter Stewart and Peter Kennedy who lead the Banking and Finance group identified a gap in the market and explained that establishing Allegiant FS was the first move by the firm to provide strategic advisory services to firm’s clients, beyond legal expertise. ‘For nearly 30 years, Peter Kennedy and I have provided legal and commercial advice to financiers, borrowers and banks. With the introduction of Allegiant FS, we can now bring together both sides of the equation to produce holistic commercial outcomes for our clients from a finance perspective‘ Mr Stewart said.

The founding partners are backed by a team of very experienced ex-finance executives with a significant range of experience with major Australian and foreign banks. Mr Kennedy said ‘Being able to tap this insight into the operational and decision making processes of banks and the state of the market effectively positions Allegiant FS to deliver outstanding financial outcomes for our clients’.

Word of mouth has seen the Allegiant FS client base grow well beyond its traditional McCullough Robertson client base, with the company’s business benefiting from a significant level of external direct inquiry from medium-sized businesses through to those operating at the institutional level. At the same time, Allegiant FS also consults directly to financiers, assisting with strategic policy, asset sales, transactional and credit processes.

Underpinning the Allegiant FS proposition is its unique independence. Allegiant FS stands alone as a fiercely independent organisation with complete dedication to its clients. Allegiant FS is not a broker, it does not accept on-going commission from financiers, nor is it the agent for any financier.

Allegiant FS holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (No. 427279) and is a member of the Financial Ombudsman Service.
